The three‑day training on Environmental Surveillance of LSDV and FMDV commenced on 16 September 2026 at GBRC, Gandhinagar. The programme brings together veterinarians from the Department of Animal Husbandry, GCMMF officials, and veterinarians from dairy cooperatives across Gujarat to strengthen knowledge and implementation of environmental surveillance for livestock diseases.

This training is being conducted under the Gates Foundation Project activity.

Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (GBRC), Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Makin Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen collaborative research, product development, and commercialization.

Through this partnership, we aim to develop and innovate probiotic-based formulations with potential applications in the management of metabolic and infectious disorders, bridging scientific research with translational and commercial opportunities.
