World Ozone Day is observed every year on 16 September to raise awareness about the importance of the ozone layer and the need to protect it. The ozone layer acts as a natural shield, absorbing much of the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation and helping protect life on Earth.

It is important for us to understand that protecting the ozone layer is not only the responsibility of scientists and governments. Awareness, responsible choices and environmentally friendly practices can begin with each one of us.

STOP! SORT! SEGREGATE!!

Eco Club of our school organised a short programme on SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT.

The programme focused on talking about special care waste : E WASTE and how to manage it properly.

Furthermore our school is participating in a seven days E WASTE COLLECTION CAMPAIGN!

We are inviting E WASTE from student’s houses and nearby areas so we can sort it and send it to proper waste management facilities.

BEACON ASSEMBLY
Theme: “Don’t Be Afraid to Speak in English”
The Beacon Assembly was conducted by the team comprising Mrs. Sallu Rai, Mrs. Kokila Dhakal, Mrs. Praya Rai, and Miss Dikit Lhamu Lepcha. The theme of today’s assembly was “Don’t Be Afraid to Speak in English.”
The assembly focused on encouraging students to overcome hesitation and fear while speaking in English. Students were motivated to practise speaking English in their daily interactions and to understand that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. The teachers emphasized the importance of confidence, regular practice, and a positive attitude towards learning the language.
The students were also informed that this was the last Beacon Assembly for the session. They were encouraged to continue practising English and to carry forward the confidence and learning gained through the Beacon Assembly sessions.
The assembly concluded with a positive message to the students to speak English confidently, without fear or hesitation, and keep improving through regular practice.tions, debates, and other activities.
