Mangan District
13th October 2026

Members of the Mangan District Government Employees Association Group C & D had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble Area MLA, Kabi Tingda Shri.Thinlay Tshering Bhutia at his residential office.

This meeting was particularly meaningful for Association, as its new executive body was recently formed through an election held after nearly 20 years. The newly elected members came together to meet the Hon’ble MLA, exchange views and seek his valuable guidance for the future.

During the interaction, the Hon’ble MLA shared his thoughtful insights on the vision for a developed Sikkim, the overall development of North Sikkim, and the important role every individual must play in building a better society. He also highlighted the responsibilities we must fulfil as government employees and as responsible members of society.

The Hon’ble MLA warmly welcomed the members at his residence and extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected executive body. The members also expressed their gratitude for his time, encouragement and valuable suggestions.
He further offered constructive advice on how we can collectively contribute to the progress and development of Mangan District in the coming days.

This interaction was truly encouraging and inspiring for all the members of our Association. We look forward to working together with dedication, unity and a strong sense of responsibility to serve the people and contribute towards a brighter future for Mangan District and North Sikkim.

Mangan District

The Mangan District Government Employees Association (Group C & D) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Passingdang Saffo GPU, Dzongu Block, Mangan District, for securing Third Position in the State-Level Cleanest Village/Cleanest GPU Award 2026.

The award, received on 2nd October 2026 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, recognises the dedication, hard work, community participation and commitment towards cleanliness and environmental protection.

As a token of appreciation, the Association felicitated the representatives of Passingdang Saffo GPU with a Khada.

Courtesy Visit

The All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D)Central executive committee paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Secretary, Department of Personnel, Ms. Norzing Tsering Shenga, IAS.

The Association conveyed its warm congratulations and best wishes to her on her new posting. During the meeting, discussions were held on various matters concerning the welfare and interests of government employees, along with possible areas of cooperation and future initiatives for the benefit of employees.

The Association looks forward to constructive coordination with the Department of Personnel in the days ahead for the welfare and betterment of government employees in the State.

Remembering Late.Nar Bahadur Bhandari🙏

On the birth anniversary of Late Shri Nar Bahadur Bhandari, the second Chief Minister of Sikkim, we remember a prominent political leader whose public life remains an important part of Sikkim’s modern history.

Born on 5 October 1940, Shri Bhandari served as Chief Minister of Sikkim and played a significant role in the state’s political and developmental journey. The Government of Sikkim has remembered him as an important figure in the making of modern Sikkim, particularly for his emphasis on rural development, connectivity, electrification and water supply.

Gyalshing District

Executive Members of the All Sikkim Government Employees Association, Gyalshing District, visited Rimbi, an area that was affected by a flash flood a few days ago.

As a gesture of solidarity and support, the members contributed a sum towards the relief fund to assist the affected families.

The relief contribution was made in the presence of Panchayat President Shri.Mangal Rai, Ex-Zilla Shri. Tara Gurung, and Shri. Mohan Limboo (Ex-Army Major).

The Association stands with the people of Rimbi during this difficult time and extends its support towards the ongoing relief and recovery efforts.

विनाशकारी बाढीका कारण आफ्नो घर, सम्पत्ति र सुरक्षित बासस्थान छोडेर विस्थापित हुन बाध्य हुनुभएका सम्पूर्ण गाउँवासी दाजुभाइ तथा दिदीबहिनीहरूप्रति अखिल सिक्किम सरकारी कर्मचारी संगठन (ASGEA) गहिरो दुःख व्यक्त गर्दछ।प्राकृतिक विपत्तिले निम्त्याएको यस दुःखद घडीमा आफ्नो घर–आँगन छोडेर अस्थायी आश्रयमा बस्नुपर्ने बाध्यता अत्यन्तै पीडादायी र कठिन अवस्था हो। यस विपत्तिबाट प्रभावित प्रत्येक परिवारको पीडा हामी सबैको साझा पीडा हो।

Gyalshing District

Gyalshing: Members of the All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D), Gyalshing District, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Minister for Roads and Bridges Department, Shri.N.B. Dahal.
During the meeting, the association members conveyed their warm regards and sought the blessings of the Hon’ble Minister. The interaction provided an opportunity for the employees to exchange views and discuss matters concerning the welfare and interests of government employees.

The members expressed their gratitude to Shri.N.B. Dahal for his time and support and extended their best wishes for his continued service towards the people and development of Sikkim.
