India Mobile Congress 2026 , Asia's largest IT and Telecommunications forum .

The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 w.e.f 7th Oct to 10th Oct'2026 is being organised by Union Ministry of
IT & Communications and North East Development , GoI at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, bringing together the policy nakers , state government delegates , key stakeholders , Interested party and IT students delegates from across the information technology, telecommunications, digital innovation and emerging technology sectors from all across India .

The event is being graced today by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, as the Chief Guest.

Representing the IT and Communication sectors on behalf of Government of Sikkim at this prestigious and one of the most IT innovative National platforms Hon’ble Advisor, IT Department, Government of Sikkim, Shri L.B. Das, along with Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of Sikkim, Shri Raju Basnett as VVIP Platinum state guest representatives being
accompanied by Secretary, IT Department, Shri Bimal Rai, and Joint Director, IT Department, Shri Prem Asish Pradhan and Shri Adip Chettri, LO to HM Education and Hon’ble Advisor.

Sikkim’s participation in this significant forum provides an important opportunity to engage with the latest advancements in digital technology, telecommunications, innovation and emerging technologies. It also offers a platform to explore new avenues for technological collaboration, strengthen digital infrastructure, and advance the state’s vision for inclusive digital growth and transformation.

In Loving Memory of Late Kailash Bhandari

With profound sorrow, we remember our beloved Late Kailash Bhandari, who passed away on 4 October 2026.

Born on 15 June 1979, he was a loving husband, caring father, devoted brother, and a kind-hearted soul. His simplicity, strength, warmth, and loving nature touched the lives of everyone around him.

He was the beloved son of Late Hari Prasad Bhandari and Late Devi Maya Bhandari.

The 13th Day Ritual will be observed on 16 October 2026 at Central Pendam, Karmithang.

Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May the departed soul attain eternal peace, and may the Almighty give the family strength and courage during this difficult time.

Aama Scheme Benefits Distributed at Duga

Benefits under the and were distributed to beneficiaries at Duga BAC in the presence of HMLA Shri L.B. Das and other officials, elected representatives and stakeholders.

The programme was attended by the OSD to HMLA, Chairman of the Corporation Department, Coordinator from the Pharma Company, BDO Duga, MEO RNP, Zilla Members of Central Pendam and West Pendam Territorial Constituencies, RNP President, GPU Presidents, Panchayat Members, Councillors, CLC President and team, Social Welfare Department Inspector and beneficiaries.

A total of 1,001 mothers from the 18-West Pendam Constituency benefited from the schemes. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shriman Prem Singh Tamang-Golay for the welfare initiatives.
