Eight- week Foundation Course for the 44 ACS Officer Trainees, 2026 batch begins today in AASC. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. P. Ashok Babu, IAS, C&S ARTPPG Depts etc along with Shri Mahmood Hassan, IAS, Secretary ARTPPG Dept, Shri Simanta Kr Das, ACS, Secretary Personnel Dept & Shri Nabadeep Pathak, ACS, Addl Secy ARTPPG Dept & Director AASC. The first day sessions were taught by Shri Simanta Kr Das, ACS, Secy Personnel & Shri DC Jain, IPS(Retd), Former Special Director, CBI.

*Honoring the Pioneer of Civil Services: Administrative Tribute and Book Exhibition on the Birth Anniversary of Anundoram Barooah at AASC Library*

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Anundoram Barooah, the AASC Library has organized a book display programme to pay tribute to his remarkable contributions to education, literature,society and administration. Anundoram Barooah was the first Assamese to join the Indian Civil Service (ICS), and he is remembered for his extraordinary scholarship and dedication to learning. The display featured books written by and about him.

The IAS Probationers of the 2025 batch (Assam-Meghalaya Cadre) called on Dr. Ravi Kota, Chief Secretary, Assam as a part of their 2-week Orientation Training Programme in AASC.

As a part of their Orientation Training Programme in AASC, the IAS Probationers of the 2025 batch (Assam-Meghalaya Cadre) visited the O/o District Commissioner, Kamrup for a briefing by CEO, Zila Parishad as a part of their P&RD attachment.

INTERNAL CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR TEAM AASC

AASC conducted a One-day internal Workshop for Officers and Officials of AASC. This workshop consisted of transfer of Learning from the following Workshop/Conferences attended by AASC Officers
1. ATI Conference held in LBSNAA on 15-16 April 2026
2. IST on Capacity Building Held at LBSNAA from 13-17 April 2026
3. AI Readiness Training held at EkStep and IIIT Bangalore from 20-25 April 2026
The workshop saw participation from Officers and GRADE II, Grade III Staff of AASC in the presence of Director, AASC
The workshop focused on Augmented Capacity building measures as was discussed in the LBSNAA Workshop, key takeawsy from Heads of ATI Conference at LBSNAA and AI Readiness tools and Techniques as was taught in the Bangalore Workshop
