In commemoration of the joyous occasion of the 118th National Day of Bhutan, the Royal Bhutanese Consulate General in Guwahati hosted a reception dinner on 19 December 2025. Officials of the Government of Assam, Dzongdags and Dungpas from the districts adjoining Assam, members of Assam tour operators, friends of Bhutan, and members of the Bhutanese community attended the event. Shri Biswajit Diamary, Honourable Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Assam, graced the reception dinner as the Chief Guest.

To celebrate the joyous occasion of the 118th National Day, the Royal Bhutanese Consulate General, Guwahati, together with the Bhutanese community in Guwahati, gathered to mark the occasion. The gathering viewed the live telecast of His Majesty The King’s National Day Address to the Nation. The celebration included cultural performances by Bhutanese students studying in Guwahati.
