Save Life! Help save the life of a Road Accident Victim.
Be a good Samaritan !!!

In pursuance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court order in connection with Writ Petition No. 235/2012, the Central Government has issued guidelines to be followed by hospital, police and all other authorities. The main points are:

1. Any bystander or good Samaritan including an eye witness of a road accident may take an injured person to the nearest hospital and he should be allowed to leave immediately and no question shall be asked to such bystander or good Samaritan.
2. The bystander or good Samaritan not be liable for any civil and criminal liability.
3. All registered public and private hospital shall not detain any bystander or good Samaritan or demand payment from them for registration/ admission cost.
4. Lack of response by a doctor in an emergency situation pertaining to road accident shall constitute professional misconduct.
5. To encourage other citizens, the bystander or good Samaritan who come forward to help the road accident victims to be suitably rewarded/ compensated.
