Dibrugarh Glows Green this Diwali 🌿✨
Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Shrishti Waste Management Services, paid a heartfelt eco-friendly tribute to cultural icon Zubeen Garg at Jhalukpara. Pouro Sakhis lit earthen diyas and created a Swachh Bharat-themed rangoli, blending Diwali’s light with the message of cleanliness and sustainability — celebrating both culture and a cleaner, greener Dibrugarh.

Post-Diwali Clean-Up Drive

North Lakhimpur Municipal Board, with Citiyano team, led a citywide clean-up to clear festive waste and banana tree decorations. With active participation from the elected representatives and NLMB officials, the drive reinforced the message of keeping our city clean and eco-friendly after the celebrations.

Dhubri Municipal High School and Dhubri MB have signed an MoU to become a Zero Waste Institution in collaboration with Feedback Foundation, promoting waste segregation, composting, and recycling. ♻️

The initiative will engage students, staff, and the community to create a cleaner, sustainable, and environmentally responsible campus.

In a continued effort to monitor progress on waste remediation, Simi Karan, IAS, State Mission Director, SBM (U), Assam, visited the Biomining Facility at Boragaon under the Guwahati Municipal Corporation.

So far, 9.96 acres out of 40 acres have been fully reclaimed, and around 8 lakh metric tons of legacy waste have been processed out of a total 15 lakh metric tons — marking steady progress toward a cleaner and greener Guwahati.
