What is a caste?? From where, this word caste generates?? If you are talking to someone, and you are not aware about his/her caste, then it is fine, but what happen once anyone gets to know about the caste of a person. Once a upper middle class person gets to know about caste of a person which is of lower class, that person stop talking because according to him, he does not meet his class and standards. Does a person caste really define from where a person belongs to??
In India and most of other countries, this is most common. When any family are looking forward for marriage of their child, their first point is, person should belongs to his/her caste and culture. They don’t want that their child should marry a person which does not belongs to their caste and culture. Do you really think, it really matters?? What will happen if your child gets to a person who belongs to your society, but does not keep your child happy??? Will that be fine??
There are so many boys and girls who want to marry because they love each other but can’t do because their castes are different. If by chance they get married, then their families don’t allow them into their house. In some villages which respect caste above their everything, they even come to killing their own children if their children marry person of other caste because in their thoughts and belive, only caste and culture come first above everything.
From childhood, families always taught that a person should make good friends according to their society and culture. When you fill any admission form in school/college, from there only a person’s identity get to know, whether that person belongs to general category or scheduled caste.
If you meet any person in school/college and they lie to you that they belong to general category, you will talk to them very comfortably because that person belongs to your society and standards but on the other hand, if that person only be honest with you and tell you about caste and culture, you will not talk to him. Instead, you will make fun of him. In colleges, students even take ragging also. They don’t even treat as if they are also a human being.
This ragging does continues till end. Those people self confidence just decreases to an ultimate level. They start having iferiority complex. They feel like they lack something due to which they are treated like this.
Due to this many children, even commited su***de without even their mistake and there is no one to fight for them. Its just they don’t understand, that they don’t lack anything, the mindset of rest of the people in not broad-minded. When companies come to colleges to hire students, supervisors don’t allow students of lower caste to sit in the interview as they want all general category students should get jobs first even if general category student is not even capable to even sit in interview.
Scheduled Caste students, work hard get schorlarships and reach to good colleges, but this caste system is the thing which never leaves them. Due to this they don’t get good jobs.
In families, when any maid comes to your house for your household chores, family members treat them as they are beggars. They don’t even treat them properly. They don’t give their salary on time.
They don’t understand that persons are doing their job as you do. They should be paid their salary on time as you get. If you can’t even do anything for them, atleast treat them properly. They are also human beings. They are doing their jobs to feed their own family.
So the question comes from where this come from?? Why those people are treated like this?? In offices also same treatment happen. This caste system does not generate 2-3 years back. It’s been happening since time imemorial.
This all should be end. We all live in a new generation. We should all change our mindset and try to bring change in society. Like people say:- “ You will get the result as you do.” And Happiness grows by sharing only.
