113 Students & 04 Faculty members of Dr. V. H. Dave H.M.C. & Smt. S.I. Patel Homoeopathic Hospital, Anand ,Gujarat visited PCIM&H on 31-01-25. Officials of PCIM&H delivered technical lectures along with practical demonstration to them on Standardization and Quality Control of ASU&H drugs.

Today, a four-member delegation from Indonesia visited PCIM&H. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. I Made Joni, Universitas Padjadjaran, Chair, IIBC, Bandung. Prof. Dr. Camellia Panatarani, Head of Department of Physics, Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung; Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Univeristas Udayana, Denpasar and Dr. Lia Faridah, Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung were the other member of delegation.

Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director briefed about role and activities of PCIM&H for maintaining quality control and standardization of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy system of medicines. He also highlighted about the developments and new initiatives being carried out by PCIM&H.

Delegation visited the Raw Drug Museum of Homeopathic Medicines, Seed Bank, Green House, Polyhouse, Auditorium, Nakshatra Vatika, Regional Raw Drug Repository and Laboratories of PCIM&H.

Today, the Director of PCIM&H, along with the Scientific Officer (Ayurveda), participated in a roundtable conference on "India-Indonesia Cooperation on Ayush and Jamu: Relevance of Sustainable Bioresource Management." The Development and Knowledge Sharing Initiative (DAKSHIN: Global South Centre of Excellence), Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM), and ASEAN India Centre (AIC) under Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a New Delhi-based autonomous policy research institute, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and various Indonesian partner institutions, convened the program at Tamarind Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The Director of PCIM&H attended the session on "Institutionalization of Traditional Medicine Systems: India-Indonesia Cooperation for Capacity Building of Jamu" as a panelist.

Today, PCIM&H conducted a motivational talk on "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" by Dr. Hitu Khera, Holistic Life Coach. The talk was centered around the philosophy of Louise Hay, which advocates that the THOUGHTS we think and the WORDS we speak create our EXPERIENCES. No person, no place, and no thing have any power over us, as we are the only thinker in our mind.

93 Students & 04 Faculty members of Vamanrao Ithape Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Sangamner, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra visited PCIM&H on 20.01.2025. Officials of PCIM&H delivered technical lectures along with practical demonstration to them on standardization and quality control of ASU&H drugs.

Today on 15th January 2025, PCIM&H conducted 5th meeting of the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia Sub-Committee (APSC) under the Chairmanship of Dr. Galib in hybrid mode. The meeting commenced with welcome of the Chairman by Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H. The committee members Dr. Sanjay Kumar; Dr. Sudipta Rath; Dr. RemaShree AB; Dr. Harisha CR; Dr. Suneela Sunil Dhaneshwar and Dr. P. Madhavankutty Varier attended the meeting through online mode and Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS; Dr. Sathyanarayana B; Prof. Shishir Purushottam Pande; Dr. Rampal Somani; Dr. S.C. Verma; Dr. Jayanthy A and Dr. Vijay Gupta along with other officials of PCIM&H attended the meeting physically.

Dr. AK Meena and Dr. Shiddhamallayya from CCRAS also attended the meeting.

31 draft monographs for API, Part-I, Vol-XI; draft of Appendices for API, Part-I, Vol.-XI along with others issues were discussed during the meeting.

After meeting members visited Regional Raw Drug Repository, herbal garden, green house and interacted with the officials of PCIM&H.

On the 4th day of Capacity Building Training Program lectures on “Standardization of Metal & Mineral Drugs” by Dr. Sweta Mohan, SO(Chemistry); “Evidence based Pharmacological Studies and its Importance in Herbal Medicine” by Dr. Ramachandran, SO (Pharmacology) and “Microbial Analysis of ASU&H Drugs” by Dr. M. Ramesh, S.O. (Microbiology) were delivered.

After lectures, hands on training in Microbiology section was conducted.

Today, PCIM&H conducted 6th meeting of the Homoeopathy Pharmacopoeia Sub-Committee (HPSC) under the Chairmanship of Padamshree Dr. V K Gupta in online mode. The meeting commenced with welcome of the Chairman by Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H. The committee members Dr. Subhas Kaushik, Director General, CCRH; Dr Subhas Gupta; Dr. A K Bhatnagar; Dr. Karuna Shankar; Dr. DS Bhar; Dr. Arvind Sharma; Dr. B N Suhagia; Dr. SC Verma, PSO (Chemistry), Dr. A Jayanthy, PSO, (Pharmacognosy), Dr. Vijay Gupta, PSO (Ayurveda), Dr. M Ramesh, SO (Microbiology) and Member Secretary-HPSC along with others officials of PCIM&H attended the meeting. Dr. Digvijay Singh, RO (Botany) from CCRH also attended the meeting through online mode.

The matter related to 6 chemical origin monographs, 36 new and 32 revised plant origin monograph of Homoeopathic drugs and 10 OHOS drugs for next phase, etc. were discussed during the meeting.

On the 3rd day of Capacity Building Training Program lectures on “Pharmacopoeial Parameters for Quality Control of ASU&H drugs: Pharmacognosy Aspect” by Dr. Jayanthy. A., PSO (Pharmacognosy); “How to Ensure the Quality in Raw Material of ASU&H Drugs” by Dr. Nitin Rai, S.O. (Pharmacognosy) and “Regulatory Framework of ASU Medicines in India & Misleading Advertisements of Ayush Drugs and Practices” by Dr. Vijay Garg, ADC cm S.L.A.(Ayu.) Govt. of NCT of Delhi were delivered.
After lectures, hands on training in Pharmacognosy section was conducted.

On the 2nd day of Capacity Building Training Program, lecture on “Regulatory Framework of Homoeopathic Medicine in India” by Dr. Rachna Paliwal, ADC (H), CDSCO; “Quality Control & Quality Assessment of Traditional Medicines” by Dr. SC Verma, PSO (Chem), PCIM&H and “Testing Protocol and Advance Instrumentation for Standardization of ASU Drugs” by Dr. Anupam Maurya, SO (Chem) were delivered.

After lectures, hands on training in Chemistry section was conducted.

On the 2nd day of Capacity Building Training Program, lecture on “Regulatory Framework of Homoeopathic Medicine in India” by Dr. Rachna Paliwal, ADC (H), CDSCO; “Quality Control & Quality Assessment of Traditional Medicines” by Dr. SC Verma, PSO (Chem), PCIM&H and “Testing Protocol and Advance Instrumentation for Standardization of ASU Drugs” by Dr. Anupam Maurya, SO (Chem) were delivered. After lectures, hands on training in Chemistry section was conducted.

On the occasion of 8th Siddha Day on 19th December 2024, Padmashri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, M/o Ayush released the “Siddha Formulary of India, Part-III, Tamil Edition” at Anna Centenary Library Auditorium, Kotturpuram, Chennai. “Siddha Formulary of India, Part-III, Tamil Edition” has been prepared and published by PCIM&H on behalf of Ministry of Ayush. Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H participated in the event along with Dr. V. Vijayakumar, Scientific Officer (Siddha) and Dr. Ramachandran S, Scientific Officer (Pharmacology).
