आज रात में नीतीश कुमार और चंद्रबाबू नायडु साहब जब सोएंगे तो उन्हें एक बात ज़रूर याद आएगी कि अगर कहीं उन्होंने मोदी को अपनी-अपनी पार्टी का समर्थन दे दिया तो साल भर के अंदर उन्हें वह दिन देखना पड़ेगा, जब एक दिन सुबह वह उठेंगे तो उनके सारे सांसद मय पार्टी के भाजपा में शामिल हो चुके होंगे और वे निपट अकेले खड़े होंगे।

शरद पवार और उद्धव ठाकरे यह दर्द झेल चुके हैं।

कई वर्ष तक पर्दे के पीछे से बार बार भाजपा की मदद करने वाले नवीन पटनायक आज अपने राज्य से बेदख़ल हो चुके हैं।

न जाने किस अज्ञात दबाव में भाजपा से डरने वाली मायावती जी भारत की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी पार्टी से शून्य पर पहुँच चुकी है।

कभी पंजाब में दबदबा रखने वाले भाजपा के लंबे समय से गठबंधन सहयोगी रहे अकाली आज एक सीट पर सिमट गए हैं।

भाजपा की सोहबत में रह कर कभी तमिलनाडु की बहुत बड़ी शक्ति होने वाली जयललिता की पार्टी आज मृतप्राय हो चुकी है।

हरियाणा में कुछ साल पहले नई शक्ति के तौर पर उभरी जजपा एक ही बार भाजपा के मोहपाश में फँसी और राजनीतिक रसातल में पहुँच गई।

भाजपा के साथ कश्मीर में सरकार चलाने वाली महबूबा मुफ़्ती की पार्टी का आज कुछ पता नहीं है।

और ख़ुद नीतीश कुमार जी बिहार की सबसे बड़ी शक्ति से घटकर विधानसभा चुनाव में तीसरे नंबर की पार्टी बन गए थे।

भाजपा से पुराने रिश्तों के कारण ही चंद्रबाबू नायडू एक ज़माने में आँध्र प्रदेश के सर्वोच्च नेता से घटते घटते ग़ायब हो गए थे और फिर क़िस्मत से वापस आए हैं।

ममता बनर्जी ने समय रहते भाजपा से अपना संबंध ख़त्म कर दिया था और वे आज भी शान से बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री है।
