Foundation Day celebrations of DDU Gorakhpur University started from the Pant Bhavan on 1st May 2024 by performing Pooja ceremony of Foundation Stone by Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof Poonam Tandon followed by inauguration of a water cooler with purifier out side the B Sc Chemistry laboratory. This Water cooling machine with purifier has been donated by Prof Shiv Sharan Das an alumni and former faculty member of Chemistry Department, DDU Gorakhpur University in memory of his grandfather.

M Sc Chemistry 2nd and 4th semester timetable has been revised.

On 14/01/2024 an interactive session of PG and Research Students with two distinguished alumni of the Department of Chemistry, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur was held. Prof Rajneesh Mishra, IIT Indore (2001 M Sc) and Prof M L Sharma, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal(1989 M Sc) gave valuable informations regarding present day research in Chemistry.

National Science Day and Annual function of Chemical Society was held in the Department of Chemistry, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur on 28th February 2024. Quiz competition, poster presentation, documentary film screening and an interesting lecture on synthetic polypeptide by key note speaker Prof M D Pandey of BHU was organised on this occasion.

Today on 23/12/2023 an ACS Interaction event on "Empowering Professionals to Advance Science and Shape the Future" was held in the Department for the Science Faculty Research Scholars and PG students.

आज दिनांक 16/12/2023 को माननीय उच्च न्यायालय प्रयागराज के न्यायमूर्ति श्री राहुल चतुर्वेदी, पुरातन छात्र रसायन विज्ञान, ने विभाग में आकर अपनी विद्यार्थी काल की स्मृतियों को साझा किया एवं विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित किया!!

आज दिनांक 01/12/2023 को रसायन विज्ञान विभाग में NET/ JRF प्रतियोगी परीक्षा की तैयारी हेतु स्नातकोत्तर विद्यार्थियों के लिए, विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा RUSA के अंतर्गत "उन्मेष" कक्षाओं के संचालन का शुभारंभ माननीय कुलपति प्रोफेसर पूनम टंडन जी द्वारा किया गया!!
