It was 4th Republic Day celebration at our society. The sunny morning was perfect for the occasion.

Makar Sankranti

We have been celebrating Makar Sankranti every year on 14th Dec. And this year was no different as we celebrated the first major festival of the new year on the same day regardless of pundits and astrologers insisting that we should now do it on the 15th Jan.

Hero to Zero!

Today, I got an opportunity to ask a few straight questions from a man, we have been fighting a legal battle for almost a decade. The very first thing I asked Mr Anil Sharma, the ex CMD Amrapali group was "When everything was going so well for you in 2010 how come you got involved in the scam that made you from Hero to Zero? " A long discussion followed......

Chhath - ek Mahaparv!

Today is the beginning of mom of all festivals Chhat, dedicated to the Sun God. The first day is the curtain raiser of a 3-day festival that needs a lot of stamina, endurance and suffering

The Angel

It will be an understatement to call Mr KPM Swamy, CMD, NBCC an angel. But for this visionary man, the stalled Amrapali projects would not have seen the light of day. It was him who provided stimulus to our DVV project that was going at snail's pace.

He took charge of Amrapali projects as the Executive Director, NBCC and things started happening. It is always a pleasure to meet him. If today I am writing this post while seated comfortably in my bedroom, the credit goes to this great man from Telangana. God bless you Sir!

Independence Day at DVV

We celebrated our 5th Independence Day at the DVV. The highlight of today's event was the willingness of residents to participate in the proceedings that was almost perfect.

Good Neighbour

The hallmark of a good residential society is caring and sharing, and that is what makes an average society into a great society. These freshly plucked vegetables from our next door neighbour were a morning surprise for us.

A few times over to swim or to drown in a pool
And when they don't find a reason to fight
They follow their kids in the play area and start fighting
