πΏ AWARENESS RALLY AND OATH-TAKING PROGRAMME πΏ
01.10.2026 | Under the Namami Gange Project
Guptipara High School (HS), in collaboration with the BDO, Balagarh and the District Ganga Action Committee, Hooghly, organised an Awareness Rally and Oath-Taking Programme on 1st October 2026 under the Namami Gange Project.
The programme was organised to create awareness about the cleanliness, conservation and cultural heritage of Maa Ganga, one of Indiaβs most sacred and historic rivers. For centuries, the Ganga has been a symbol of faith, civilisation, livelihood and spiritual heritage. Protecting this revered river is not only an environmental responsibility but also a duty towards our rich cultural legacy.
The programme was graced by the honourable presence of the BDO, Balagarh, District Project Officer and Block Youth Officer, whose guidance and encouragement inspired our students to become responsible guardians of the river and the environment.
Students enthusiastically participated in the awareness rally, carrying placards and raising slogans on keeping the Ganga clean, protecting water bodies, preventing pollution and preserving the heritage of Maa Ganga for future generations.
The programme concluded with an oath-taking ceremony, during which students pledged to keep the Ganga and its surroundings clean, avoid littering and pollution, conserve water, protect the environment and inspire others to join the mission of a clean and healthy Ganga.
