"I come from Jalna, Maharashtra, where my family relies on agriculture for a modest living. With limited resources and being hearing impaired, my journey to IIT came with added challenges but I stayed consistent, seeking support and learning from every setback.

After being selected for the Dakshana Foundation, I received the guidance needed to prepare for JEE, which led me to Computer Science Engineering at IIT (BHU).

As a Bharti Scholar (2025-2026 cohort), this support has allowed me to stay focused on my academics and make the most of the opportunities at IIT. I am now working towards building strong skills in computer science and exploring pathways in quant, finance, and business."

Empowering Young Voices Through Media Literacy

We recently conducted a dynamic Media Club workshop in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, engaging 167 students and 8 teachers from 10 partnered government schools from Delhi under Quality Support Program (QSP).

Facilitators from the Ministry of Culture led hands‑on sessions on short‑video production, media literacy, and communication skills—empowering students to express themselves confidently in the digital space.

Through video assignments and extempore activities, students showcased remarkable creativity, critical thinking, and spontaneity. The workshop offered real‑world exposure to media tools and platforms, significantly boosting their confidence and communication skills.

At Bharti Airtel Foundation, we remain committed to creating learning experiences that build future‑ready, expressive, and digitally aware young leaders.

"I grew up in Delhi in a family shaped by hard work and resilience. My father is a street vendor, and my mother, a homemaker, has been a constant source of strength and support. As the eldest sibling, I learned early on to take responsibility and find my own way forward.

My JEE journey - especially my drop year - was marked by self‑doubt and limited guidance. Yet, I chose consistency over confidence, showing up every day until discipline became stronger than doubt. That persistence led me to pursue Computer Science Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU).

Being a Bharti Scholar (2025–2026 cohort) has been more than just financial support. It has opened doors to learning, mentorship, and the confidence to grow without limits. Today, I aspire to become a software engineer who builds meaningful solutions and develops a deep understanding of systems."

"I come from a family of five in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, where our small general store supported us through many challenges. Despite financial constraints, I stayed focused—topping my district in Class 10 and later cracking both JEE Main and Advanced. The long, isolating months in Kota tested me, but they also strengthened my resolve.

The Bharti Airtel Scholarship changed everything. With my tuition, laptop, and hostel expenses covered, I could fully focus on my Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) journey at IIT Delhi.

Now, as a second‑year B.Tech student, I’m chasing big ambitions in the world of quantitative roles—driven by gratitude and a commitment to uplift others like me."

Quality Support Program Expands to Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim

Under the Quality Support Program (QSP), the Bharti Airtel Foundation has onboarded new government schools in partnership with state education departments, strengthening school leadership and classroom practices across regions.

In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 65 schools were onboarded - 25 government schools each in the Aspriational Districts of Bahraich and Shravasti and 15 schools in Lucknow. These schools participated in a two-day School Excellence Program conducted between March and April 2026, focusing on academic leadership, vision building, goal setting, SWOT analysis, and School Development Planning (SDP). The sessions also facilitated onboarding onto TheTeacherApp, expanding access to digital teaching and learning resources.

In Pakyong district, Sikkim, the Bharti Airtel Foundation conducted a two-day School Excellence Program on April 21–22, 2026, engaging Heads of Schools and teachers from 48 government schools across Rhenock and Namcheybong. School leaders developed actionable improvement plans, with active participation from senior education officials reflecting a shared commitment to holistic school transformation.

We are grateful to Indus Towers Ltd. for its instrumental support in deepening the Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program, enabling sustained improvements across more than 1,100 government schools in 13 states.
