Fashion price-cutting hits Asos profits The online fashion giant says cutting prices to match rivals has not shifted more clothes.

AEPC in association with ECGC had organized an Exporter Meet at Apparel House, Gurugram on 27 July, 2018. Exporters had interaction with ECGC team on how schemes & products of ECGC can cater to export risk management and discussed the International scenario on exports and on to cover the Non-payment risk of the Overseas Exports.

Shri. Govind Krishna Dixit, Commissioner, Shri Nitesh, Srivastava, Additional Commissioner & Shri P S Saini, Assistant Commissioner from Office of the Noida Customs Commissionerate and Ms. Deepa Goyal, Consultant, M/s Jurispetius were present to brief the exporters about AEO program

It is our pleasure to inform you that Dr.A.Sakthivel, Vice Chairman of the Council has met Shri. Ramesh, Chairman CBIC, Shri.P.K.Das, Member-IGST and Shri Srinivas, JS (Customs) and requested for refund of Embedded Taxes and to increase the ROSL benefit to the Apparel Exporters. They have responded positively for his request and assured him to do the best for the Apparel Industry.

Dr.A.Sakthivel, Vice Chairman thanked Chairman-CBIC and other Customs officials for agreeing his request to set up a Help Desk in AEPC Office at Tirupur and FIEO Offices across the country. While hailing the initiative Dr.A.Sakthivel, Vice Chairman said that this will help all sectors of exporters particularly to MSME Exporters and requested the trade to make use of this opportunity to clear their pending IGST claims at the doorstep of AEPC Office at Tirupur.

The Help Desk would function for a period of 2 weeks till 1st August, 2018. In this regard Circular issued by CBIC vide No.21/2018-Customs dated 18.07.2018 is attached.

Whatever the reasons exporters’ claims have struck or for want of submission of further documents etc., will be cleared with the help of Customs Officers in the Help Desk itself irrespective of any Ports. We invite all garment exporters to make use of this opportunity and get benefited.
