Launch of the First Foster Family Network: A Milestone for Child Welfare

On October 18, 2024, the Minister of Women and Child Development will launch the India’s first Foster Family Network. This achievement is the result of years of dedication and tireless efforts by the Centre of Excellence in Alternative Care (CEAC), working closely with UNICEF and the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) in Chhattisgarh. Their combined vision and commitment have laid the foundation for this progressive system, which focuses on the holistic development of children and emphasizes the importance of family-based care.
