On May 29, 2026, Brahmaputra Board observed "World No To***co Day 2026" by administering a solemn "No To***co Pledge" to promote a healthier, tobacco-free environment. The pledge ceremony was administered by Dr. Ranbir Singh, Chairman, Brahmaputra Board. All Officers and staff members from the headquarters attended in person at the Conference Hall, while external postings actively participated virtually to unite the entire organization in this meaningful health initiative.

On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, Brahmaputra Board extends its warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to everyone. May this holy festival bring peace, prosperity, and joy to your lives, and inspire us all toward the spirit of selflessness, unity, and sacrifice.

"नोहलिकाई जलप्रपात"

यह जलप्रपात मेघालय राज्य में चेरापूंजी के पास स्थित है। इसकी ऊँचाई 340 मीटर है। यह जलप्रपात देश के सबसे सुंदर और भव्य झरनों में से एक है और मेघालय का गौरव है।

An umbrella initiative of the Government of India, focusing on:
• Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme: Last-mile funding for the realisation of irrigation potential in ongoing irrigation projects
• Har Khet Ko Pani: Command area development and surface minor irrigation
• Per Drop More Crop: Promoting micro-irrigation techniques for on-farm irrigation efficiency
• Watershed Development Component (WDC): Soil and moisture conservation, rainwater harvesting, and regeneration of groundwater
Such initiatives strengthen India’s water story and reinforce the growing importance of climate-resilient water management in building a more water-secure and sustainable future.

Taking these conversations forward, the 9th India International Water Week will serve as a platform for leaders, policymakers, researchers and innovators to explore pathways towards climate-resilient water management.
