North East Educational Trust - Community Library

Students of NEET’s Community Library had a wonderful opportunity to perform at the Brihattar Japarigog Rangali Bihu Sanmilani, held at Nursery Field. A total of 16 students presented a vibrant Husori performance on the track “Hatire Maute” by Bordoisila Bihu Husori Dol. Their performance was highly appreciated by the audience, earning praise for their energy and enthusiasm.

Students of NEET’s Community Library had a wonderful opportunity to perform at the opening ceremony of the Madhya Pub-Guwahati Bihu Sanmilani, held at Sipukhuri. A total of 21 students presented a Husori performance on the track “Hatire Maute” by Bordoisila Bihu Husori Dol. They also enthusiastically participated in the rally, adding to the festive spirit of the event. Their performance was highly appreciated by the audience, and many people praised the students for their energy and talent.

The President, Secretary, and all members of the Madhya Pub-Guwahati Bihu Sanmilani were extremely cooperative and welcoming. They graciously introduced our team and also served traditional jolpan to the students, making the experience even more memorable.

Anubhav Learning Centre joyfully celebrated a vibrant Pre-Bihu event at Lokra Dafala Field, on 11th April, bringing together students, parents, and the local community in a spirit of festivity and togetherness 🌼

Our students enthusiastically participated in traditional Bihu singing and dancing, filling the atmosphere with energy and cultural pride. They also showcased their creativity and teamwork by setting up stalls, selling organic vegetables grown in their own garden and managing a snack stall.

Fun games added an extra layer of excitement, making the day enjoyable for everyone present.

A total of 119 participants joined the celebration, including 87 students, 28 parents, 2 village heads, and 2 teachers from a nearby school.

It was truly a heartwarming event that beautifully highlighted culture, learning, and community participation.

The 15-day Children’s Bihu Workshop, organized by North East Educational Trust, concluded successfully today. Held from 23rd March to 6th April 2026 at North East Educational Trust, Digholipukhuri, Guwahati. The workshop offered training in Bihu dance, Bihu songs, and art sessions. Today’s concluding program witnessed an attendance of over 150 people, with more than 90 children actively participating in the workshop.

The program was a grand success and was graced by the presence of CRCC of Sadar 1, Guwahati, Himani Choudhury, and CRCC of Sadar 3, Guwahati, Ajit Yadav. The Head Teacher and an Assistant Teacher from Lalsingh LP School, along with the Head Teacher of Navagraha LP School, were also present. Parents also attended in large numbers, adding grace and warmth to the occasion.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the lively performances by the children of the Community Library. The program featured children’s Bihu performances including Jeng Bihu, Husori, and several solo Bihu dances, showcasing their learning and enthusiasm.

The event concluded on a joyful note with performances by the teachers and members of the Community Library, making it a truly memorable and vibrant celebration of Bihu.

We also organized a Bohagi Mela at the venue, where products from Project SHINE, an initiative under the North East Educational Trust, were displayed and sold, along with a variety of handmade items created by our NEET team members and students of the community library.
