National Bird Day | 5 January

Birds are vital to our ecosystems—
they pollinate forests, regulate pests, sustain food chains, and signal the health of our environment.

Across Northeast India, rapid habitat loss and ecological stress are putting many bird species at risk.

At Vibgyor N.E. Foundation, we work with local communities, indigenous knowledge systems, and nature-based conservation initiatives to protect habitats and promote coexistence between people and wildlife.

Through platforms like the Northeast Green Summit, we translate awareness into experience—
from the 6th Summit Nature Walk in collaboration with Eco Vansh, a serene two-day walk in the Dholai Range, Assam, to the 7th Summit’s Jungle Trail & Bewitching Birds at Barapani, encouraging people to observe, listen, and learn from nature.

This National Bird Day, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting birds, preserving biodiversity, and strengthening community-led conservation.

Because when birds thrive, nature thrives.

🎨 Echoes of Earth, Culture & Color

As part of the Chhattisgarh Green Summit 2025, young artists gathered to express their vision of a greener, more culturally rooted India through brush and pigment.

The Drawing & Painting Competition—held as a vibrant pre-event—celebrated the theme:
“Green Chhattisgarh, Green India, Janjateeya Culture, Festival & Heroes.”

From tribal rhythms to forest festivals, each artwork became a tribute to janjati wisdom and ecological harmony.
