Community Consultation and Awareness Meetings

Under the ADB-funded Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project (CRBIFRERMP) Phase I, FREMAA has initiated a series of Community Consultation and Awareness Meetings across project districts in Assam. These consultations aim to inform stakeholders about project activities, address community concerns, and encourage participation in project implementation.

The first consultation was held on 21 May 2026 at Bonpuri, Jamuguri, with the participation of local residents, Project Affected Persons (PAPs), community representatives, and other stakeholders. Discussions focused on project objectives, land acquisition, grievance redress mechanisms, and community engagement, reinforcing the project's commitment to inclusive and transparent development.
