THE QUIRK OF FATE

No matter winds stop to flow
No matter how vast darkness grow
My angel, my sweet heart !
I'll keep loving you like... like never before.

The drops of rains kiss my face
Prompting my heart into a race
Race to feel you and realise
My darling ! My heart finds in you the solace.

The jealous moon laughes loud at me
Cauz you are now far.. far away from me
But i dont feel blue my lovely lady...
I know,in my heart, you are very close to me.

The world is transitory, driven by the wheels of fate
Sometimes it runs in favour and sometimes against.

Dreaming decent Dwellings

The plaster on the wall falls off
The roof leaks but hardly one can find the crack
Abominable fragrance fills the ambience
Who may think of dwelling in there?

One- room-house is what all he owns
Oh sorry, I won’t lie he lives at rent actually for 500rs a month
His wife wakes up and packs 2-chapati with not-so-well vegetable tiffin
Goes out to where she washes the left out used utensils of others who pays her.

In night, they see the stars and moons and dream of decent dwellings
But dwellings of their own, earned with hard work in job.
How? the job can’t even help meet their ends
Yet they dream of big bungalow, car parked outside and a gardener sprinkling water in the garden.

I wonder why do they dream even when they know they can’t have their dreams come true
To my amazement, they say,” At least, Dreams are not the property of riches only”

DONT YOU WAER MASKS?

On the demise of Mrs. Tripathy, my neighbour, a concourse of people gathered
That day, that place I witnessed a multitude of masks,
Masks disguising their wearer's inner lack of sorrow and pain
Yet illuding each other as if they were feeling blue like deceased man.

One Morning, I woke up earlier than ever before to see what's happening outside on the road,
A throng of people mobbed my brother, Rahul , Not less than of my age,
Congratulating him for his success in the audition for Dance India Dance,
But amid the crowd were some masks cursing my brother out of disgust from inside their heart,
Although, they wore the masks of ecstasy and elation for my brother, so smart.

One other day in the evening, I set out for a walk to meet my friends in Nehru Park,
Once again, I saw an uncle wearing a mask,
Mask of seriousness, kindness and soulfulness galore
He was probably a leader of a party, giving his speech in front of people,
His words appeared soothing and encouraging to all and sundry,
But after the program, he kicked hard with the sole of his shoes, a beggar asking for bread and a penny.

Masks, Masks, and Masks, The world is full of masks, tell me oh reader !
Don't you wear masks?

******************************
The universe will sing the song of my magnanimity
*******************************

Though numerous defeats brought me at the helm of fragmentation
Each fragment will yearn for the unison
Yet my soul would keep on disintegrating rapidly
Before in the ultimate universe, I'll be diffused.

Humanic fate is to be doomed one day
The doom will be doomed yet another day
The world will screech around me about my past
Sure the future will not find my fragments.

What if I wish I turn out to be immortal at the end?
What if my magnanimous soul live for ages to come?
How this thought could be realised ?, I thought.
How the world will keep me alive in their heart?

My words, my thoughts and my writings are the frequencies
That will propagate to the time immemorial and space infinite
My words which brought hopes in the eyes of gloomy
And my thoughts which brought the smile to the face of impaired

The world will recite the soothing verses I wrote
And the Universe will sing the song of my magnanimity.
