The CHL, Dima Hasao successfully restored the child aged 15 years to the CWC (Child Welfare Committee) of her home district Tamulpur on 24/09/2026.
The child has been handed over to her maternal aunt by the CWC, Tamulpur in consideration of a secure and nurturing environment that fosters the child's development.

🙏 A Farewell to Shri Dharamchand Pareek, Hon'ble Principal Magistrate, JJB Dima Hasao🙏

Today was a bittersweet day at the District Child Protection Unit, Haflong, Dima Hasao, as we bid farewell to Shri Dharamchand Pareek, Hon'ble Principal Magistrate, JJB Dima Hasao.

For 2 years and 4 months, Sir stood as a pillar of justice and compassion for the children of this district. Beyond his orders and hearings, we saw a person who genuinely cared approachable, fair, and always putting the child's best interest first. Working with him taught us so much, not just about the law, but about empathy and true service.

As he moves on to his new posting, we are grateful for everything he has given to this district, and we know he will carry the same dedication wherever he goes.

Thank you, Sir. You will be missed. Wishing you continued success and happiness ahead. 🌸

Information is sought to trace the family/relatives of Krishna Bhaskar, aged about 12 years, presently under the care of Hosanna Orphanage Home, Dima Hasao.

On 11th September 2026, the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dima Hasao, distributed compensation cheques to two child survivors of POCSO cases at the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Haflong.

Behind every case is a child who deserves to heal, feel safe, and rebuild their life with dignity. This support is a small but meaningful step towards that journey — helping ease the road to recovery and reminding these children that they are not alone.

The DCPU, JJB and CWC, Dima Hasao remain committed to standing by every child in need, ensuring their protection, care, and a future built on hope and healing.

A review meeting of DCPU, JJB, CWC & CHL Team was held on 20th August, 2026 at the Office of District Child Protection Officer, Dima Hasao. The meeting was led by District Child Protection Officer and attended by office staff along with Counsellor of CCI Hosanna Orphan Home, Moulhoi & a team from NGO (Access to Justice for Children).

The meeting was held on pending cases of CHL, CWC & JJB along with applicants of annual sponsorship and the "Mission of Child Marriage free Village" where the required assistance of "Access to Justice for Children" were also discussed.

The Office of District Child Protection Officer Dima Hasao celebrated the 80th Independence Day of the nation by hoisting the National Flag at the premise of the office.

On 01/ 09/2026, a runaway minor was produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Dima Hasao. The minor was successfully counselled by the CHL, Dima Hasao and is currently temporarily sheltered at Hosanna Orphan Home, Moulhoi.
