It was a proud privilege to witness and share intellectually enriching moments with the renowned mentor and legendary physicist, H. C. Verma, Padma Shri awardee and Professor of Physics at IIT Kanpur, during his recent visit to Haldwani.

The workshop focused on the fundamentals of experimental physics and the deeper understanding of core physical concepts. The insightful ideas, scientific approach, and inspiring values shared by Verma Sir motivated both students and teachers to explore physics with greater curiosity and conceptual clarity.

His initiative Prayas is a remarkable effort towards promoting and strengthening physics education among students and educators in the Kumaon region. The visit proved to be highly inspiring and academically enriching for everyone present.

The Shivalik International School is all set to organize its much-awaited “Adventure Summer Camp 2026”☀️⛱️
from 27th May to 5th June🗓 at the school campus, Lalpur Nayak, RTO Road, Haldwani.
The camp aims to provide children with a perfect blend of fun, fitness, creativity, and adventure during the summer break.

The camp will feature a wide range of exciting activities including zipline, swimming, wall climbing, trampoline, archery, Burma bridge, paddle boating, water roller, body zorb, and many more engaging adventures designed especially for children.
Along with outdoor activities, students will also get opportunities to build confidence, develop teamwork, and learn new skills in a safe and supervised environment.

आज शिवालिक इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में नव सत्र 2026-27 का अधिष्ठापन समारोह का आयोजन बड़े उत्साह एवं हर्षोल्लास के साथ किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन एवं सरस्वती वंदना से हुआ। इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में नगर आयुक्त पारितोष वर्मा, चेयरमैन रमेश शर्मा, वाइस चेयरमैन नीलम शर्मा, प्रधानाचार्य पी एस अधिकारी, मैनेजिंग डाइरेक्टर अनंतनीर शर्मा उपस्थित रहे।
शिवालिक स्कूल के प्रधानाचार्य, शिक्षकों एवं अभिभावकों की उपस्थिति में नव-निर्वाचित छात्र परिषद को मुख्य अतिथि द्वारा पद एवं गोपनीयता की शपथ दिलाई गई। समारोह में स्कूल केप्टन, स्कूल वाईस केप्टन ,स्पोर्ट्स केप्टन, स्पोर्ट्स वाईस केप्टन तथा इंट्रेक्ट क्लब के सदस्यों को शपथ दिलाई गई।
साथ ही विद्यालय के विभिन्न हाउस — मेजर राजेश अधिकारी हाउस, केप्टन मनोज कुमार पांडे हाउस , मेजर सोमनाथ शर्मा हाउस एवं केप्टन विक्रम बत्रा हाउस — के हाउस कैप्टनों एवं पदाधिकारियों को भी बैज एवं सैश प्रदान कर शपथ दिलाई गई।
मुख्य अतिथि पारितोष वर्मा ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए नेतृत्व, अनुशासन एवं जिम्मेदारी के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला तथा सभी पदाधिकारियों को अपने कर्तव्यों का निष्ठापूर्वक पालन करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान विद्यार्थियों द्वारा आकर्षक सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ भी दी गईं, जिनकी उपस्थित सभी अतिथियों एवं अभिभावकों ने सराहना की। अंत में शिवलिक स्कूल के प्रधानाचार्य ने मुख्य अतिथि एवं सभी गणमान्य व्यक्तियों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए नव-निर्वाचित छात्र परिषद को उज्ज्वल भविष्य हेतु शुभकामनाएँ दीं। संचालन हिमानी पाठक,निवेदिता बोरा और हरीतिमा पन्त ने किया।
