🌱 A New Chapter for Natural Farming and Tribal Women Farmers in Halol
Today, I had the privilege of addressing the Annual General Meeting of Pavagadh Vistar Farmer Producer Company, promoted by CInI, Halol, with a remarkable strength of more than 13,000 tribal women stakeholders.
The gathering was a powerful reflection of the collective strength, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of tribal women farmers. I shared practical insights on the benefits and potential of Natural Farming and discussed opportunities to make sustainable farming a pathway towards healthier soils, reduced external inputs and stronger rural livelihoods.
As a step forward, Dhingva village has been adopted to promote Natural Farming among small and tribal farmers under state government initiative આપડું ગામ પ્રાકૃતિક ગામ. We will work towards developing practical Natural Farming models for turmeric, pigeon pea, fennel, cotton, soybean and vegetables, creating locally relevant examples that farmers can learn from and adopt.
My sincere appreciation to Shri Rajputji and his dedicated team, along with the women directors of the FPO, for embracing this vision and extending their support.
Standing among hardworking tribal women farmers brought back cherished memories of my childhood and strengthened my resolve to work more closely with farming communities.
13,000+ tribal women. One collective strength. One shared vision— healthy soil, empowered farmers and a sustainable future through Natural Farming. 🌾🌱
