Carriage & Wagon Workshop Eastern Railway, Liluah

On the occasion of Kabir Das Jayanti, the Rajbhasha Department of Eastern Railway, Liluah Workshop organized a Kavi Sammelan and Poetry/Doha Recitation Programme at Kabir Park to honour the timeless teachings of Sant Kabir Das.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Smt. Survi Agarwal, Dy. FA&CAO, in the esteemed presence of Shri Yatish Kumar, Chief Workshop Manager (CWM). Branch Officers and workshop staff also participated enthusiastically, making the event a memorable celebration of India's rich literary and cultural heritage.

Today, it was a privilege to welcome Dr. Mahua Verma Ma'am, Principal Chief Personnel Officer (PCPO), Eastern Railway, to our workshop. She was warmly received by our Chief Workshop Manager (CWM), Shri Yatish Kumar, along with other Branch Officers.
During her visit, Dr. Mahua Verma Ma'am inaugurated the Divyang Changing Room & Bathroom, a dedicated facility created for our Divyang staff, reflecting our commitment towards accessibility and inclusivity.
She also visited and reviewed various key establishments of the workshop, including the Administration Building, Staff Canteen, Parks, and Florence Day School, appreciating the ongoing efforts towards maintaining a safe, clean, and employee-friendly workplace.

Successful Conduct of the Inter-Divisional Cultural Competition – Semifinal Round*

The *Semifinal Round of the Inter-Divisional Cultural Competition (Music, Dance & Drama) – 2026* was successfully conducted on 30th June at the Glass House, Officers' Club, Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Liluah.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of *over 137 talented participants* representing *Asansol (ASN), Howrah (HWH), Sealdah (SDAH) Divisions and Kanchrapara (KPA) Workshop* , who showcased exceptional performances in music, dance and drama.

The programme was graced by *Smt. Smita Goyal, President, ERWWO/LLH*, as the Chief Guest, along with *Shri Manish Singh, CPO/A, Eastern Railway*, as the Guest of Honour. Their inspiring presence and words of encouragement greatly motivated all the participants.

Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Liluah extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participating teams, judges, officers, ERWWO members, staff and volunteers whose wholehearted support and coordinated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

🧘‍♂️ *INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2026 CELEBRATED WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM AT LILUAH*🧘‍♀️

Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Liluah successfully celebrated **International Yoga Day 2026* at the picturesque *Kela Bagan, Gardiner Road, Liluah*, with the enthusiastic participation of *more than 1,200 supervisors and staff members including officers*.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by *Shri Yatish Kumar, CWM/LLH of Yoga Guru Bhupendra Shukleshji*, who highlighted the importance of Yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and workplace harmony.

The Yoga session was conducted by renowned Yoga Guru *Shri Bhupendra Shuklesh*, who guided the participants through various yogic practices and shared valuable insights on holistic health and wellness. The session included *Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Makarasana, Yoga Nidrasana, Guided Meditation* and special *Anti-Ageing Yoga Techniques* aimed at enhancing vitality and overall well-being.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Bhupendra Shuklesh emphasized the *role of spirituality in the workplace*, explaining how Yoga and meditation help improve concentration, emotional balance, productivity and interpersonal relationships, thereby creating a positive and stress-free work environment.

The serene surroundings of Kela Bagan provided an ideal setting for the practice of Yoga, allowing participants to experience a sense of inner peace, mindfulness and rejuvenation.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to incorporate Yoga into daily life and uphold the theme of International Yoga Day 2026:
