Inaugural Run of Upgraded LHB rake Bagh Express (13019/13020) π
The newly upgraded LHB Bagh Express commenced its journey from Howrah Station on 05.06.2026 in the presence of officers, staff, and passengers. The occasion was marked with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony by children.
The upgraded LHB rake will provide enhanced passenger safety, improved riding comfort, and a better travel experience.

π Every Valid Ticket Matters. Every Passenger Matters.
At Howrah Division, Eastern Railway, our foremost responsibility is to ensure that every genuine passenger enjoys a safe, clean, comfortable, and fair travel experience. With this objective, a Special Magistrate Ticket Checking Drive was conducted at Howrah Station on 5 June 2026 under the direction of Sr. DCM/Howrah Shri Rahul Ranjan and led by the Railway Magistrate.
The drive detected 505 cases of travel and related irregularities, including:
βοΈ 421 cases of ticketless travel
βοΈ 55 cases of unbooked luggage irregularities
βοΈ 29 cases of littering
Ticket checking drives are not merely enforcement measuresβthey are undertaken to protect the interests of honest passengers who travel with valid tickets. By discouraging unauthorized travel and promoting cleanliness, such initiatives help reduce overcrowding, safeguard public resources, and create a more pleasant travel environment for everyone.
During the drive, passengers were also encouraged to make use of the RailOne App for seamless digital ticket booking and access to a range of railway services, making travel more convenient and hassle-free.
