Berol. 2: 128. 1833) would result in a later homonym due to the existence of C. tener (Fée) Christenh. (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 161: 250. 2009), based on Goniopteris tenera Fée (Mém. Foug. 11: 60. 1866). The correct name is a heterotypic synonym, C. ciliatus (Wall. ex Benth.) Panigrahi (in Res. J. Pl. Environm. 9: 66. 1993), based on the next earliest legitimate name of the taxon at the same rank, Aspidium ciliatum Wall. ex Benth. (Fl. Hongkong.: 455. 1861).

41.3. Ex. 7. When Haines (Forest Fl. Chota Nagpur: 530. 1910) published the name Dioscorea belophylla, he attributed the name to “Voight”. Previously, Prain (Bengal Pl. 2: 1065, 1067. 1903) had validly published D. nummularia var. belophylla Prain, citing “Voigt (sp.)”, an apparent reference to the nomen nudum “Dioscorea belophylla” (Voigt, Hort. Suburb. Calcutt.: 653. 1845). The mention by Haines of “Voight” is regarded as an indirect reference to Prain’s varietal name, and thus D. belophylla (Prain) Haines was validly published as a new combination and name at new rank.

Dr. P. Lakshminarasimhan, Dr. S. Bandyopadhyay, and Ms. Chandani Gupta authored the article, entitled "Alchemilla purohitii, a new name for A. sojakii K.M. Purohit & Panigrahi (Rosaceae)" published in Harvard Papers in Botany [23(1): 17–18. 30 June 2018]. Perhaps, it is most likely the first published article in the whole world, to cite a reference to the Shenzhen Code (International Code for Algae, Fungi, and Plants) published on 26 June 2018.

Two proposals to amend the Code (ICN) made by the Scientists/ researchers (Dr. Subir Bandyopadhyay, Dr. Avishek Bhattacharjee, Dr. Gopal Krishna, Mrs. Vandana Bhattacharya) of the Central National Herbarium have been accepted in the Nomenclature Session of the 19th International Botanical Congress and hence will be included in the main volume of Shenzhen Code, 2018. Dr. P. Lakshminarasimhan, former Head of CNH (now the Head of BSI Western Regional Centre, Pune) is also a co-author of one of the proposals. The total number of accepted proposals from India in the main volume of ICN is three (two from CNH). Two more proposals made by Scientists/ researchers (SB, AB and GK) of CNH are under the decision of the Editorial Committee of ICN which can be confirmed in due course.

Additionally, three proposals by the Scientists/ researchers [Dr. Tapas Chakrabarty (Retd.), Dr. Subir Bandyopadhyay and Dr. Sangita Daschowdhury] of CNH regarding conservation and rejection of plant names are also accepted for the Appendix of the Shenzhen Code.
