As part of 2025 celebrations, CSIR-IICT EIACP RP organized an awareness program on 16th September 2025 at Zilla Parishad High School, Saheebnagar, Hyderabad, aimed at sensitizing students about the importance of ozone layer preservation and inspire actions towards environmental protection. In line with the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, plantation of saplings was carried out on the school premises. To encourage student engagement, drawing and Quiz competitions on the theme of ozone layer preservation were conducted, and winners were recognized with prizes. The program saw enthusiastic participation from around 350 students and 11 staff members. Additionally, infographic pamphlets highlighting the importance of the ozone layer were distributed to spread awareness in a visually engaging and informative manner. In pursuance of the being observed from 17th September 2025 to 2nd October 2025 under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, CSIR-IICT EIACP Resource Partner on Climate Change and Public Health is organizing a series of awareness and outreach activities. These initiatives include educational programs at various schools and orphanages, as well as beach cleanup drives in collaboration with local NGOs. CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology

As part of World Mosquito Day 2025 celebrations, CSIR-IICT EIACP RP organized an awareness program on 21st August 2025 at Zilla Parishad High School, Khusaiguda, Hyderabad, aimed at sensitizing students about the burden of mosquito-borne diseases, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining cleanliness to curb mosquito breeding. The team demonstrated the various life stages of mosquitoes, while also highlighting the core themes of Mission LiFE. In line with the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, plantation of saplings was carried out on the school premises. To encourage student engagement, drawing and essay writing competitions were conducted, and winners were recognized with prizes. The program saw enthusiastic participation from around 600 students and 8 staff members, with all participants taking the LiFE pledge. Additionally, infographic pamphlets were distributed to spread awareness in an engaging and informative manner.
