On 14th September 2022, Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights conducted an orientation on Village level Child Protection Committee handbook for all the Chairpersons of VLCPCs at Karimnagar.
The event was graced by Errabelli Dayakar Rao garu Hon'ble, Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, Gangula Kamalakar garu Hon'ble Minister of BC Welfare, Food & Civil supplies, Mr. Vinod Kumar garu, Hon'ble Vice Chairman State Planning Board Telangana, Rasamayi Balakishan garu, Member of Legislative Assembly , Shoba Rani garu Brundhadar Rao garu Hon’ble Member TSCPCR and Sri Karnan garu, IAS, and District WD&CW staff.

Marking the occasion of 75th Independence day celebrations at Office of Telangana State commission for Protection of Child Rights, J Srinivas garu, Chairperson TSCPCR, Ms. Divya Devarajan garu IAS Special Secretary to WD & CW Department, Hon’ble Members TSCPCR, - Aparna garu, Raga Jyothi garu, Shoba Rani garu, Anjan Rao garu, Brundhadar Rao garu Devaiah garu, Secretary Swaroopa Rani garu and staff of Women Development and Child welfare have participated in the celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, the Chairperson participated in the Wheel chair distribution event conducted in collaboration of WD & CW Department and Nirmaan Organization with the support of CGI.
The Commission also participated in the inauguration of Youth Skilling Programme initiated by the Department and Nirmaan Organization.

The Hon’ble members of Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights have visited the villages around the Godavari River zone to understand the situation of children in the wake of heavy rains/ massive floods affected districts from 27.07.2022 to 29.7.2022 and directed the concerned departments to rescue, rehabilitate and resettlement of Children and their families. Review meetings were conducted with the District Stakeholders - DCPU, ICDS, Child Welfare Committee, Child line, Health department and Education department to understand the overall actions undertaken by them with regard to the children.
Hon’ble Members Smt. Shobha rani and Smt. Raga Jyoti visited the districts of Warangal Rural, Bhupalapalli and Mulugu.
Hon’ble Member Mr. Devaiah visited Adilabad, Nirmal, Asifabad and Mancherial Districts.

Launch of VLCPC Handbook (Village Level Child Protection Committees)
With the view to expanding the protective net for the children and establishing a strong system in villages that can prevent the violation of Child Rights, a Village Level Child Protection Committees handbook has been launched by Hon’ble Satyavathi Rathod Garu on 20th June, 2022 through zoom with all the District Child related Departments being the participants. It is a collaborative initiative of Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Plan India with the support of Special Secretary Ms. Divya Devarajan Garu, WD&CW Dept. This hand book will be used as the resource material to form or strengthen the VLCPCs in 12,769 Panchayats across the State.
