As part of the design sketching course at the design department, students took up the visionary challenge to transform blank spaces such as bus stops, security cabins, canteen areas, and more into vibrant masterpieces. With the wholehearted support of the IIT Hyderabad Director, this awe-inspiring initiative has redefined the campus, creating a lively and refreshing environment where artistic expression flourishes. The mesmerizing murals bring forth a harmonious blend of art and academia, infusing the campus with a vibrant energy that fosters a sense of community and inspiration among students.

Teaching Training Seminar on Design Teaching and Classroom Course for Class V on “Form in Design”

In lieu of innovative education practices to learn 21st Century Skills as per the goal of National Education Policy 2020, a Design Education Innovation program was conducted by Dr. Deepak John Mathew and his PhD student, Ms. Upasna Bhandari at Department of Design, IIT Hyderabad. In 2021, this program was held for grade 5 students at DAV public school at IIT Hyderabad campus. A course in Basic Design Education was developed for grade 5 CBSE students and teacher training seminar was conducted to train the teachers in delivering this course.
