My dear FB friends
Sharanya Nair [picture attached] is a bubbly,
chirpy, smart 22 year old student of WCC
College, Chennai. She hails from Ernakulam and
is pursuing a course in Visual Communication
here. Her father passed away about 5 years ago.
Her mother works as a teacher in Muscat.
Sharanya lives next door to me and is one of the
bravest and sweetest young girl I have met so
far!
Sharanya is like every other girl her
age...energetic, raring to go, cheerful. She's
involved in her studies, hangs out with friends,
is figuring out her career after WCC, enjoys life,
does all the usual things a girl her age would
do.
However, what I find exceptional about Sharanya
is that while she does all this, with equal ease
she hops into an auto and goes to get a dialysis
done!!! Yes, you read it right. Sharanya is
suffering from kidney failure. She has had a
kidney transplant in 2006. She still suffers from
kidney ailments and the doctors at Madras
Medical Mission have advised her to get her
next kidney transplanted immediately. This will
cost her mother about Rs 10 lakhs. The monthly
cost of her medication is around Rs 20000 per
month. And she requires at least 2 dialyses done
every month, which costs her another Rs 3400
per week.
Its touching to see her go through all this as
bravely and cheerfully as she does, and I am
reaching out to all of you to help support her
and her mother. Her mother does not have the
resources to pay for her kidney transplant which
is so critically required. I hope you can
understand and support in some small way at
least. You could also help a lot if you could
share this on your page and get your friends to
support .Any contribution from you, small or
big, is welcome and will go a long way in saving
a life.
Should you need any further details, please call
or mail me: I could forward you her bank
account details to help you transfer
cash .PLEASE HELP !!!
Warmest Regards
Geetha Menon
