Day 3 of the Genomic Manipulation workshop was packed with practical laboratory sessions. Participants were demonstrated several key techniques including oocyte retrieval, embryo microinjection, testicular route of transgenesis, and gene delivery into skeletal muscles.

In the afternoon session of the 2nd day, Dr. Goutam Ulgekar spoke about various transfection strategies. Participants also engaged in hands-on training in Cas9 RNP transfection & cell electroporation, covering both the theoretical & practical aspects of modern genome engineering.

Day 2 of the Genomic Manipulation Workshop at BRIC-NIAB featured an insightful session by Dr. Nirmalya Ganguli on transgenesis and genome editing. Lectures on DNA microinjection, IVF, and the central transgenic facility by Ms. Nilanjana Ganguli. These lectures were followed by an online talk by Dr. Soumya Mary Mathew (TIGS) on CRISPR mouse models.
