WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY:

“Today is the World Environment Day! Congratulations to all of us! ‘Only One Earth’ is the campaign slogan this year, with focus on ‘Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature’. This means there is an urgent need to live sustainably and in harmony with Nature, and make peace with Her by sustaining forests and growing more trees, conserving water bodies, greening cities, rewilding barren lands, changing diets, and cleaning up rivers and coasts. It is important to know that climate emergency is for real and it is the responsibility of every citizen and every government to deal with the critical situation.”

The campaign calls for collective, transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet.

Climate change, nature & biodiversity loss, and pollution & waste –evidence that Earth is in “code red” is all around us and growing more ominous every day. At the same time, billions of people are short of income, food, shelter, health care and education. Energy and food crises on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic and a spike in conflicts around the world are further causes for concern.

The way out of this dilemma is to transform our economies and societies to make them inclusive, fair and more connected with nature. We must shift from harming the planet to healing it. We must protect what we have and bring back what we lost to advance to a better, more sustainable future, where everyone can thrive.

India Greens Party (IGP) Telangana unit is looking for a passionate and highly motivated intern for its political activities.

The duration of the paid Internship / Volunteership with a certificate will be 4-6 months and can be extended.

The Selected candidate will get hands-on experience in political strategy and communication. It is an excellent opportunity to be part of an emerging Political Startup called the India Greens Party, which strives to make our country Inclusive and Sustainable.
