A radar station is a facility that uses radio waves to detect objects like aircraft, ships, or other targets. It sends out signals that bounce off objects, and by analyzing the returned signal, the station can determine an object’s position and movement. It's like how bats use sound to "see" in the dark.

A Very Low Frequency (VLF) radar station uses a special type of signal that operates at a very low frequency compared to regular radar. This kind of radar is particularly useful because it can travel long distances and even pe*****te water, which is why it's often used by the military to communicate with submarines.

In Damagundam Forest, the proposal to set up a VLF radar station means using an area filled with rich wildlife and vegetation for a military purpose. Installing such equipment might require clearing large portions of the forest, building infrastructure, and setting up massive antenna systems, which could harm the delicate forest ecosystem. This is why there's a concern—turning a natural reserve into a military site could lead to the destruction of an important habitat for many species.

After a couple of years, I finally got the chance to sit down again with #𝐕𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐑𝐚𝐦 Garu, the founder of #𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐝. We had a long and meaningful conversation about the Forest( ),the latest updates, where things stand on the ground, and the next steps for the future. Every time I talk with him, I gain so much insight, especially about the deep connection between nature and sustainability, and how important it is to preserve our traditional agriculture and ancient food systems.

It's sad to see how much of this knowledge has faded in recent decades, despite its vital role in health and wellness. Our eco-friendly practices and biodiversity are key not just to the environment but to our overall well-being. Even with world-class medical advancements, there’s something irreplaceable about the holistic living approach that our ancestors practiced.

This conversation really highlighted the importance of nature conservation and the need for stronger community engagement and environmental awareness to protect these traditions and our planet for future generations.
