How do you fund work that no single source of capital will pay for on its own?
Join us at the Madhya Pradesh Social Impact Forum for an expert session with Smita Mathur Jha, Strategy, Governance and Social Impact Advisor, on Blended Finance and Effective Communication.
Smita has spent three decades at the intersection of strategy, governance and social change, working across corporate, consulting, government and development to make complex systems work better for people. She was the founding CEO of the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), which she built from the ground up to strengthen state-level governance across India, and has held senior leadership roles at BCG, Genpact and Hindustan Times. She now works independently with organisations across the social impact ecosystem, with recent and current clients including Deloitte, UNDP and the Rockefeller Foundation.
Drawing on a practice that spans governance reform, systems change, scaling strategy and innovative financing, Smita will take delegates through two halves of the same skill: how grant, philanthropic and commercial capital can be layered to fund programmes that no single funder will carry alone, and how organisations can communicate that work in a way that earns the confidence of the people who back it.
The Forum brings together 60+ of Madhya Pradesh's leading non-profit organisations for a first-of-its-kind day of keynotes, panel discussions and hands-on learning sessions.
