The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria is pleased to invite interested persons to express their interest to participate in a two-day election symposium on 10 - 11 November 2022 at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria.
In 2019, the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria commissioned a study, with the support of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (African Commission) Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa. The objective of the study was to assess South Africa’s compliance with the African Commission’s Guidelines on Access to Information and Elections in Africa (the Guidelines) during the 2019 national and provincial elections.
This election symposium is part of the Centre's advocacy projects. At the end of the symposium, electoral stakeholders will adopt a communiqué that outlines the next steps of the project.

The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria (the Centre) is pleased to invite interested persons to express their interest to participate in a two-day election symposium on 10 - 11 November 2022 at the University of Pretoria.

Save the first two days of December for the upcoming international conference marking the 20 years since the Constitutional law on the rights of national minorities has entered into force.
The conference is jointly organized by all four Croatian law faculties and is generously supported by the Vlada Republike Hrvatske (Government of the Republic of Croatia).
We invite all interested scholars and other discussants to apply for active participation by 15 November. Please send a title and a summary of your presentation to [email protected]. There are plans for an opportunity to write and publish full papers after the Conference.
