The Central Library has conducted three day Book Fair 2024 (10th to 12th September) inaugurated by the Honourable Director Prof. Rahul Banerjee along with the Chairperson of the Library Committee Dr. Subrat Kumar Das, Librarian Dr. Pavan Agrawal and in the presence of several faculty members, staff, students, Booksellers, and publishers on 10th September 2024. A total of nine leading booksellers and publishers have participated in this exhibition.

📝 **Abstract**: It is believed that cores of neutron stars provide a natural laboratory where exotic high baryon density phases of quantum chromo dynamics (QCD) may exist. In fact, the theoretically well-established neutron superfluid phase is also believed to be found only inside neutron stars. Focus on neutrons stars has tremendously intensified in recent years with the direct detection of gravitational waves (GWs) by LIGO/Virgo from binary neutron star (BNS) merger events which has allowed the possibility of directly probing the properties of the interior of a neutron star

To emphasize the significance of World Book and Copyright Day 2024, we are focusing today on promoting reading among children and making them think about how best, in turn, they can promote reading through their creative thinking and come up with promotional slogans.
We strongly feel it is essential - especially in this digital world where swanky electronic devices, smartphones etc greatly influence the young generation. Excessive screen time has been linked to various negative outcomes, such as reduced attention spans, sleep problems, and decreased physical activity. Encouraging reading as a leisure activity provides a healthy balance.
