MSME-DFO Srinagar organised a District-Level PM Vishwakarma Capacity Building Programme with around 200 artisans, aimed at strengthening their branding, marketing and digital capabilities and providing continued handholding support.

DC Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, IAS, appreciated the initiative and stressed promotion of traditional crafts.

Sh. Saheel Alaqband, IEDS, highlighted 93% training completion and 85% toolkit distribution under PM Vishwakarma.

Sessions covered Branding & Marketing, AI and Social Security Schemes, with IPPB & J&K Bank facilitating on-the-spot QR code generation.

Rajesh Kumar, IEDS, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu**, briefed participants on MSME schemes, PMEGP and entrepreneurship opportunities, while **Ms. Radhika, JKAS, DIC Jammu**, apprised them of UT schemes and the J&K Startup Policy. **Sh. Mohit Gupta, Manager, SBI**, addressed financial assistance and credit facilities. The programme provided participants with practical information on **self-employment, government schemes, finance and enterprise development**. **Sh. Ankit Sharma, Investigator, MSME-DFO Jammu**, delivered the Vote of Thanks.

One-Day Awareness Programme on Branding & Marketing for PM Vishwakarma Beneficiaries was organised by MSME-DFO Jammu at PWD Dak Bungalow, Poonch, on 02.09.2026, with participation of around 120 beneficiaries.
The programme was graced by Sh. Amit Kumar Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, and Ms. Naeem Ul Nisa, GM, DIC Poonch.
Sessions were delivered by Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Rasotra, LDM; Sh. Kanav Kapai, State PMU; Ms. Jyoti Choudhary, Assistant Director, Handicrafts; Sh. Amir Shafiq, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI; Sh. Anil Mathur, Senior Manager, IPPB; Raman Singh, IPO, DIC Poonch; and a Professor from Govt. Degree College, Poonch. Sh. Vinu Jee Koul, Assistant Director, delivered the welcome address.
Key areas included AI tools, credit & social security schemes, entrepreneurship, handicrafts, PMEGP, QR-code generation, branding, marketing and e-commerce. 15 QR codes were generated, 42 toolkit-related queries addressed, and hands-on AI training provided to 120 participants.

CPSE Level Vendor Development Programme | Samba

MSME-DFO Jammu, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, organised a CPSE Level Vendor Development Programme at BBIA, Samba, on 01.09.2026, facilitating direct interaction between local MSMEs/MSEs and leading CPSEs on procurement opportunities and vendor registration.

The programme was addressed by Shri Amit Kumar Tamaria, IEDS, Joint Director/HoO, MSME-DFO Jammu, Shri Puneet Sawhney, GM, GeM, Shri Rashmi Ranjan Tripathy, Chief Materials Manager, IOCL, Shri Tarun Singla, President, BBIA, Shri Rajinder Raina, GM, SIDCO, and Chief Guest Shri Ram Aotar, Commandant, CRPF.

Technical sessions were delivered by Shri Subir Kumar Mandal, GM (HR/Admn), NHAI; Shri Radhey Shyam Yadav, GM (Tech.), NHAI; Smt. Charanya Ambati, DGM (C&M), Power Grid; Shri Siddharth Bhawsar, Procurement Manager, CPO Refineries, BPCL; and Shri Santosh Kumar Chandrakar, DGM, NHPC.

Dr. Altaf Ahmed, Assistant Director (EI), MSME-DFO Jammu, and Shri Aman Singh, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, also contributed to the proceedings.

The programme provided MSMEs valuable insights into vendor registration, procurement procedures, eligibility, documentation and market access, followed by Open House interaction, networking and CPSE representatives’ stall visits.
