NSS Unit JIST organised a motivational film screening of the film Taare Zameen Par for the school students of 113 No Gharphalia ME School and Cheniamguri ME School on Day 6 of the Special Camp. Our esteemed chief guest DrPranjal Borah, Associate Professor Dikhowmukh College and a well known film critic showed the students some excerpts and demonstrated how film moments are perceived by our brain. The programme concluded with a community visit by the NSS Volunteers.

A very informative session on "To***co Burden & Its Relation With Cancer" was held today. Our guest speaker Dr. Dulal Kiran Mandal along with members of Assam Cancer Care Foundation gave us valuable insights on the causes of cancer and how to***co and its products adversely affect our health. The session was a very successful one and we hope to conduct more of such sessions in the future.

NSS-JIST in association with JISTSU 2019-20 organised a Quiz Competition on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day at the college premises.
The program started with an introductory speech by Dr Gouri Goutam Borthakur. The Quiz was conducted by Quiz Master Gaurav Chakraborty and was assisted by Kaushik Mazumdar, Hridoy Ranjan Das, Ayushmaan Gogoi and Bikash Jha.
After the successful completion of the program, new volunteers were enrolled in NSS-JIST.
