For more than two months, the road work near Shirwad Bangarappa Nagar has been left in this condition, and now with the rains, it has become extremely dangerous for everyone using this road daily. The mud has turned into slippery sludge, making it risky for bikers, school students, elderly people, and even pedestrians to travel safely. Every single day people are struggling to pass through this stretch, especially during rain when vehicles skid and lose balance easily.
We understand that road development takes time, but leaving a road half-finished for months without proper temporary arrangements is unacceptable. If this condition continues and someone slips, meets with an accident, or gets seriously injured, who will take responsibility? Who will answer the public? Will the concerned contractor, engineers, or department officials come forward if lives are affected because of negligence and delays?
This is not just an inconvenience anymore — it has become a serious safety hazard for the residents of Shirwad Bangarappa Nagar and nearby areas who use this road every day. People pay taxes and deserve basic safety while travelling. At the very least, proper drainage, gravel, warning boards, or temporary road surfacing should have been arranged to avoid this muddy and slippery condition during the monsoon.
During dry weather, the dust becomes unbearable, and during rain, the road turns into dangerous sludge. Daily commuters, bike riders, school children, emergency vehicles, and local residents are all being affected because of the delay in completing this work.
Requesting the concerned authorities and contractors to please complete the work as soon as possible and ensure public safety before a serious accident happens. Development work is appreciated, but public safety should never be ignored in the process.
