Special Gram Sabha Meeting conducted on 05.06.2026 in observance of World Environment Day, focusing on Solid Waste Management and Environmental Preparedness. The meeting emphasized waste segregation at source, village cleanliness, reduction of plastic waste, environmental conservation, and community participation in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Resolutions were adopted to strengthen solid waste management practices and promote environmental awareness among all villagers.Following the Special Gram Sabha Meeting, the village youth organized a cleanliness drive across the village to support the resolutions adopted during the meeting. Volunteers actively participated in cleaning public places, collecting waste, and spreading awareness on proper waste disposal and environmental protection. The initiative reflected the commitment of the youth towards maintaining a clean, healthy, and sustainable village environment.

Today, I along with President, Balinong Youth Association (BYA), Shri Gankhum Ronrang Ji, had the privilege to distribute Certificates and Artisan Cards to the trainees who successfully completed the Wood Craft Training Programme conducted at Balinong, programe under DC Hadicrafts, ministry of textiles & handicrafts, Govt. of India.

The programme was executed by Bethel Life Care & Trust, managed by the Balinong Youth Association (BYA), and hosted by Balinong Village under the competent guidance of G.B Shri Wangman RonrangJi and through the collective efforts and support of the community.

This livelihood-oriented skill training initiative was aimed at empowering unemployed youths through practical skill development, artisan recognition, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening rural empowerment and encouraging self-reliance among the younger generation.

I congratulate all the successful trainees and extend heartfelt appreciation to every organisation, trainer, volunteer, and well-wisher who contributed towards making this programme successful.

Together, with unity and collective responsibility, we continue to move forward with the spirit of “Society First.”

🌱 Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow 🌱

As a Gram Panchayat Chairperson, I had the opportunity to attend the 3-day Block Level Foundation Training on Functioning of PRIs, GPDP-LSDGs and Rural Development Programmes held at Miao.

The programme was insightful, interactive and truly fruitful, enriching my understanding of:
• Roles & responsibilities of PRIs
• GPDP and localization of LSDGs
• Strengthening Gram Sabha, Mahila & Bal-Balika Sabha
• Convergence, Own Source Revenue (OSR) and digital planning
• Clean, green, inclusive and sustainable village development

This training has further strengthened my vision for grassroots governance and reaffirmed my commitment to work with clarity, accountability and innovation for holistic rural development.

Grateful to SIRD&PR, District Administration and all resource persons for their guidance and support.

SEVA AAPKE DWAAR 2.0 – BALINONG

Seva Aapke Dwaar 2.0 was successfully conducted at GUPS Balinong on 13 February 2026, with residents from across the Kharsang Circle turning up in large numbers to avail doorstep government services. Various Government Departments facilitated document registrations and updates, enrolments, application processing, verifications, and public welfare scheme assistance, enabling citizens to complete essential official formalities at a single venue.

The programme was inaugurated by ADC Miao, Shri Rinchin Dorjee Thungon, in the presence of the SDO Kharsang, AC Miao, ZPM Kharsang (North), ZPM Kharsang (South), BYA President, several Gaon Buras and GPCs of Kharsang Circle, and officials from different departments.

To further assist the public, a Help Desk and Free Printing Service was provided by Balinong Youth Association, along with guidance and support in form filling and information sharing.

The initiative reflects the coordinated effort of the administration and community stakeholders in bringing accessible, transparent, and citizen-friendly governance to the grassroots level.

Balinong Youth Association (BYA) has donated Jio AirFiber to the Shri. Kanman Jahkan Ronrang, Gram Panchayat Chairperson, Balinong Gram, in a meaningful step towards strengthening digital connectivity in the village.

Balinong continues to face acute internet slowdowns and unstable cellular connectivity, primarily due to the absence of a nearby cellular tower. This digital limitation often hampers timely communication and access to essential information.

In today’s age of the Internet and virtual governance, BYA firmly believes that reliable internet access is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Efficient digital connectivity is pivotal for administrative efficiency, transparency, and inclusive development.

The Gram Panchayat Chairperson (GPC) regularly receives notices, circulars, and critical information from the district administration and various government departments through online platforms. Robust internet connectivity is therefore essential for the GPC to receive information promptly and disseminate it effectively among the villagers, ensuring timely awareness and participation.

This initiative reflects BYA’s continued commitment to community empowerment, digital inclusion, and grassroots development, bridging the digital divide and enabling Balinong to stay connected with governance and opportunities beyond geographical limitations.
