Mission YUVA’s DLIC Meeting Held in Kishtwar to Support Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Kishtwar, August 6: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting under the Mission YUVA initiative was convened today in Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS). The meeting was held to review and approve applications submitted under the scheme.

A total of 115 applications, duly verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs), were presented before the committee. Each case was thoroughly evaluated based on eligibility, project feasibility, and the applicant’s socio-economic background. The committee unanimously approved all 115 applications for financial assistance and necessary handholding support under Mission YUVA.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sh. Pawan Kotwal (JKAS), GM DIC Sh. Rishi Sharma, AD Employment Sh. Shafqat Keen, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, DDM NABARD, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, and other concerned officers.

DC Kishtwar emphasized the importance of youth empowerment in driving local economic growth and directed banks to ensure timely loan sanctions, disbursements, and consistent mentorship to foster successful entrepreneurial ventures.

District Employment & Counselling Centre Kishtwar invites applications from unemployed youth for a free 3-month Skill Development Course in . Eligible candidates (10th + ITI/10+2 and above) must apply by 12th July 2025. Selected trainees will receive ₹1000/month via DBT. Submit required documents at the DE&CC office.
