The beheading of a Naga man by Kuki militants is a deliberate act of humiliation and provocation against the Nagas, knowing that our ancestors were once known as headhunters.

But what they fail to realise is that the Nagas have long left such brutality behind. We have moved beyond that chapter of our history.

If the government and the authorities cannot deliver justice for such a barbaric act, what is the purpose of their authority? What is the meaning of governance if they cannot protect innocent lives and hold perpetrators accountable?

Justice must prevail. Such brutality must never be allowed to go unpunished.

A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude to the Joint Tribes Council (JTC)

My sincere gratitude to the Joint Tribes Council (JTC) of the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui Nagas for this meaningful gesture of solidarity, encouragement and appreciation through the presentation of a beautiful piece of our traditional Zeliangrong Naga attire.

To me, this is far more than a traditional garment. It is a symbol of our shared identity, brotherhood and the unwavering support of my Naga people. I shall treasure it forever.

I was also deeply touched by the encouraging words of the JTC Convenor, who, with a touch of humour, wished that the difficulties I am currently facing would help me grow into a taller person in the days ahead. 😊

Indeed, may every challenge help us grow, not necessarily in height, but in wisdom, strength and character!

Thank you, JTC, for standing by me. Your kindness, encouragement and solidarity mean more than words can express.

May God bless our people and strengthen the bonds that unite us. ❤️

A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude to Brother James H K

As Nagas, we often speak of brotherhood, unity and solidarity. But the true meaning of these values is revealed not merely through words, but through the kindness and actions of those who stand by us when we need them most.

Since the beginning of my legal proceedings, Brother James HK has been one of those individuals who have stood steadfastly by my side. Without being asked, and without expecting anything in return, he has generously given his time, energy and resources to help me navigate this difficult period through proper and lawful means.

From receiving me at the airport along with the CSO leaders, to arranging transportation, accompanying me during legal proceedings and coordinating with our civil society leaders whenever necessary, he has consistently gone out of his way to ensure that I am not left to face these challenges alone.

What may appear to be small gestures to others has meant a great deal to me, especially during moments of uncertainty and difficulty.

Brother James, thank you for standing by me, not merely in words, but through your actions.

Your kindness, sincerity and selfless commitment remind me that Naga brotherhood is not simply something we speak about. It is something we must live and demonstrate through our actions.

I share this note not because you seek recognition, but because I believe genuine kindness and selfless service deserve to be acknowledged and appreciated.

May God bless you abundantly, Brother James. I shall always remain grateful for your kindness, generosity and unwavering support.

AFTERMATH OF THE ATTACK ON Pongringlong, Rongmei Naga Village

Spent cartridges reportedly recovered after the attack.

The village guards with single-barrel sh****ns. Kuki militants with automatic weapons.

These remnants of gunfire tell a disturbing story of the threat our villagers face.

How long must our people defend their homes against heavily armed attackers?
