The GOC-in-C Commendation stands as a symbol of excellence, recognising those cadets whose conduct, commitment, and leadership consistently rise above the ordinary.

This prestigious commendation is awarded to cadets who display outstanding discipline, exemplary turnout, dedication to training, effective leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the core values of the National Cadet Corps. It is one of the highest commendations a cadet can achieve, earned not through a single performance, but through sustained effort, responsibility, and service over time.

We proudly congratulate. SUO Rajashree Sahoo on being awarded the GOC-in-C Commendation. This achievement reflects her perseverance, leadership qualities, and devotion to duty, bringing honour to the institution and the NCC.

Discipline creates the soldier before the uniform does.

The Army Attachment Camp was a memorable and enriching experience for the cadets and was conducted from October 9 to October 19. During this period, the cadets had the privilege of training with the 2 Rajputana Rifles, one of the oldest and most valiant infantry regiments of the Indian Army. Established in 1775, the regiment proudly follows its motto, “Veer Bhogya Vasundhara,” meaning “The brave shall inherit the earth,” and has displayed exceptional courage in every major conflict.

Throughout the camp, the cadets experienced military life firsthand. Soldiers of the 2 Rajputana Rifles trained them in parade drill, weapon handling, map reading, camouflage, and field craft. Each day began at 5 AM with rigorous physical training, including running, push-ups, and endurance exercises, followed by tactical drills and teamwork-based activities.

The officers emphasized that discipline, courage, and unity are the core qualities of a soldier. They shared battlefield experiences from the Kargil War and Indo-Pak conflicts, which strengthened the cadets’ understanding of patriotism and sacrifice.

On 17 October, competitions such as running, push-ups, debates, essay writing, and extempore were conducted. SGT Lalrangbawla secured first place in the push-up competition, CDT Aishik Hazra participated in extempore, and L/CPL Suman Das took part in essay writing. On 18 October, the cadets experienced live firing, followed by a written examination and a Tug of War. The camp concluded with a Closing Ceremony, where Lieutenant Roshan Sir addressed the cadets and distributed prizes.

Overall, the camp developed discipline, confidence, resilience, and teamwork while providing a true glimpse into a soldier’s life.
