Women by Nari Social service group dedicated to the cause and awareness of women safety and empowerment.

From Sanjukta Di's wall!

We had been to two of the remotest and worst affected villages in the Sunderbans.
The YASS has rendered people homeless, flooded the paddy fields and turned the soil saline.The land will again be fit for cultivation after eight to ten years.There is no drinking water. Some people are staying on the embankments and some are living in boats.The situation is beyond imagination.The relief material had to be emptied on a boat.
We expact empathy from all.We thank all those who contributed generously for the cause.
A special note of thanks to THE EAST INDIA PHARMACEUTICALS and TINY THOUGHTS KOLKATA, who donated the medicines for the cyclone struck.
We need to think collectively now as the threat is to all of us and not only those on the coasts.The water table is low and receding at a high speed.

We are all living on the edge.
