Rani Birla Girls' College is delighted to share that three students of the Department of English, Sanjhbati Sengupta ( Semester 3), Zainab Khatoon ( Semester 6) and Sourabhi Dutta Roy (Alumnus) have been conferred with the 'Writing Talent Award' for their literary contributions in TYMS Review December 2025 and TMYS June 2025 editions respectively. They will be receiving cash rewards from TMYS for their literary contributions.

On 18.03.2026 the faculty and students of Rani Birla Girls' College gathered for a powerful screening of “The Help,” followed by a thought-provoking critical discussion titled “Of Sisterhoods and Friendships Across the Color Line.”
It was a moment of deep dive into the nuances of friendships and the complexities of social boundaries. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation!

The Department of History at Rani Birla Girls' College, in collaboration with the Literary Club, observed Women's Day 2026 on March 13, 2026 in the Rani Birla Girls' College auditorium. The Principal Dr Srabanti Bhattacharya graced the occasion and enlightened the audience with the importance of the observation of the aforesaid day. A series of events, were held including an essay competition, discussion session by various faculty members of the Departments of History, Bengali, Hindi and Education, followed by a cultural programme by students of across semesters from different departments. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony of the winners of the Essay Writing Competition. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by the IQAC Coordinator Ms. Sushmita Das.

A significant highlight of the day, along with Basanta Utsab, was the Spring Carnival, which served as a platform for our students to showcase their skills as budding entrepreneurs. The carnival featured a diverse range of student-led stalls offering:
Handcrafted Arts & Stationery,Custom-designed Tote Bags,A Variety of Gourmet Foods and Delicacies.
We extend a special mention to , an that has been a longstanding partner in our festivities. Their stall featured a beautiful collection of handcrafted goodies, including batik-work textiles and organic food products, reflecting their mission of women through training.

Rani Birla Girls' College successfully hosted its annual Basanta Utsav, themed "Rang Teras," on campus on 06.03.2026. The event was a collaborative celebration of the spring season, featuring an array of cultural performances that highlighted the institution's commitment to preserving and promoting traditional heritage.

On 2/3/2026, the department of Geography. Rani Birla Girls' College in collaboration with and Research and seminar sub committee organised an one day seminar on Climate change and it's impact on Delta economy. The eminent speaker Dr. Somnath Hazra enlightened on the pressing issue of climate change on people's livelihood and sustainable environment development in sundarban region of West Bengal and engaged with faculty members and students in thought provoking and insightful discussion.

A memorial session was held in remembering Ms. Nivedita Chatterjee, former Faculty, Deptt of Bengali Rani Birla Girls' College on 19th February 2026 in the RBGC Auditorium. Teaching and non-teaching staff, both from past and present, were present in the service, recapitulating memories with late Ms. Chatterjee from her times at the institution.

Three representatives across semesters have been selected for conducting upcoming programmes of the Club. Orientation as well as Discussion on various events of Lit Arc Club have also been discussed in the programme.
