Nine people died till now and around 50 passengers were injured after a good train collided with the Kanchanjunga Express travelling to Kolkata from Assam's Silchar in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The goods train rammed the passenger express from behind near Rangapani station, close to New Jalpaiguri.

*Team NMO West Bengal (Dr Koushik Roy, Dr Angshuman Mahato, Dr Arindam Dey, Dr Sajal Roy, Dr. Aditya Sapui and many students from North Bengal Medical College)* along with karyakartas of Seva Bharti rushed into action and served whol heartedly, some of them donated blood also.

Many are critically injured. Rescue work is going on.

NMO Bengal's participation in organizing medical camps during the Geeta Path by 50K devotee in Murshidabad was instrumental in delivering essential healthcare services to the community.
