উপভোক্তাদের স্বার্থ সুরক্ষায় আমাদের চলমান উদ্যোগের অংশ হিসেবে ডায়মন্ড হারবার পুলিশ জেলার এনফোর্সমেন্ট ব্রাঞ্চ (EB) কর্তৃক বজবজ থানার অন্তর্গত চড়িয়াল বাজারে ক্রেতা সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচির পাশাপাশি মজুত পণ্য পরিদর্শন ও মূল্য যাচাইকরণ অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়। এর মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল ন্যায্য বাণিজ্যিক অনুশীলন নিশ্চিত করা এবং ভোক্তাদের স্বার্থ রক্ষা করা।
অভিযানের মূল লক্ষ্যসমূহ:
✅ নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় পণ্যের মূল্য যাচাই।
✅ অতিরিক্ত মূল্য আদায় ও অন্যায্য বাণিজ্যিক কার্যকলাপ প্রতিরোধ।
✅ ভোক্তা সুরক্ষা আইন ও বাজার-সংক্রান্ত বিধি-বিধান যথাযথভাবে প্রতিপালন নিশ্চিত করা।
✅ জনস্বার্থে স্বচ্ছতা ও ন্যায্য ব্যবসায়িক অনুশীলনকে উৎসাহিত করা।
অভিযান চলাকালীন ব্যবসায়ীদের পণ্যের মূল্য তালিকা সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রদর্শন, লেনদেনে স্বচ্ছতা বজায় রাখা এবং প্রচলিত আইন কঠোরভাবে মেনে চলার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়। এ ধরনের উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে একদিকে যেমন ভোক্তাদের শোষণ থেকে সুরক্ষা প্রদান করা হয়, অন্যদিকে নৈতিক ও দায়িত্বশীল ব্যবসায়িক পরিবেশ গড়ে তোলাও উৎসাহিত করা হয়।
সমস্ত ব্যবসায়ীদের প্রতি দায়িত্বশীলভাবে ব্যবসা পরিচালনার আহ্বান জানানো হচ্ছে। একই সঙ্গে সাধারণ নাগরিকদেরও অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে, কোনো ধরনের অন্যায্য বাণিজ্যিক কার্যকলাপ পরিলক্ষিত হলে তা সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষকে অবহিত করুন।

As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding the interests of consumers, the Enforcement Branch (EB) of Diamond Harbour Police District conducted a customer interaction program along with stock checking and price verification to ensure fair trade practices and protect consumer interests at Charial Market under Budge Budge Police Station.
The campaign focused on:
✅ Verification of prices of essential commodities.
✅ Checking for overpricing and unfair trade practices.
✅ Ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws and market regulations.
✅ Promoting transparency and fair business practices for the benefit of the public.
During the drive, traders were advised to display prices clearly, maintain transparency in transactions, and strictly adhere to the provisions of law. Such initiatives aim to protect consumers from exploitation while encouraging ethical business practices.
We appeal to all traders to conduct their businesses responsibly and request citizens to remain vigilant and report any instances of unfair trade practices to the concerned authorities.
