Remembering Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji on His Jayanti

On the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji, we pay our heartfelt tribute to one of India’s most respected leaders, whose life was defined by simplicity, integrity, courage, and unwavering dedication to the nation.
His inspiring call — “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” — continues to honour the soldiers who safeguard our nation and the farmers who nourish it.
Let us remember his ideals of selflessness, humility, discipline, and service to the nation, and strive to uphold these values in our own lives.

Jai Jawan. Jai Kisan. Jai Hind.

NRSMC Students' Council wishes all a Happy Gandhi Jayanti

On this day, 2nd October, we celebrate the birth of the Father of the Nation - *Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the Mahatma.*

He taught us that true strength lies not in power, but in truth. Not in violence, but in non-violence. His principles of Satya and Ahimsa continue to guide not just our nation, but the entire world.

As medical students and future doctors, his message of selfless service, compassion for the poorest and courage to stand for what is right is deeply relevant to us every single day.

Let us pledge to heal with empathy and serve with honesty - that will be our true tribute to Bapu.

*Happy Gandhi Jayanti!*

We want a politics-free campus.
We want a democratically elected student body.

আমাদের দাবি একটাই — Fair and Democratic Students’ Council Election চাই।

The first professional final exam of our MBBS life… 📚

So much tension, anxiety, sleepless nights, and endless hard work.

Finally, after the theory exams, a little hangout with friends… ❤️

May this friendship, these memories, and this bond last a lifetime. 🫶

May this festival bring joy, prosperity and good health to your homes.

Today, on 5th September, 2026, the Students' Council of Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital organised a heartfelt Teachers' Day Celebration at BCR to pay tribute to our respected teachers on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

The program was graced by the presence of our esteemed Principal Sir, MSVP Sir, Dean Madam, HOD of Chest Medicine, and Hostel Superintendent along with other respected faculty members.

The celebration commenced with floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. This was followed by inspirational speeches by our distinguished guests, who shared their invaluable experiences and motivated the students to uphold the values of respect and gratitude towards teachers.

Adding a soulful touch to the occasion, a beautiful Rabindra Sangeet was performed by a student of 3rd year, which mesmerized the entire audience.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a memorable day dedicated to the guiding lights of our institution.

*NRSMC Students' Council extends its sincere gratitude to all teachers for their unwavering dedication and guidance.*
